Meditation is a practice which enables people to train their minds. Basically, in this practice of meditation people try to attain Buddhahood which means nirvana or enlightenment. This practice also enables people to overcome every situation with ease and without much stress and pain. It teaches you to be a victor in every situation regardless of its difficulty and challenging nature. The practice of meditation which is based on Buddhism has become very popular world wide. But majorly now days, non Buddhist people are also accepting and practicing this philosophy due to many diverse reasons.

The practice of Buddhist meditation comprises of many meditation techniques which aims to provide people with qualities of mindfulness, concentration, tranquillity and insight as well. Apart from the traditional ways which are accepted widely across the world this meditation technique is also used by many psychiatrists and psychologists. It is accepted as a highly therapeutic effect upon the mind and is used by many professional mental health workers. It helps in inducing relaxation, overcome phobias and also bring about self awareness. This technique of mind’s insight is helping many people these days as it helped many in ancient times.
